Blood suckers adapt to the times
THIS dark new comedy series is based on director Taika Waititi’s mockumentary horror comedy film of the same name.
It tells the story of three vampire roommates, born during different eras, who have to adapt to modern times as they attempt to survive on Staten Island.
The self-appointed leader of the group is “Nandor The Relentless” (Kayvan Novak, pictured), a great warrior and conqueror from the Ottoman Empire who has taken the helm of the group.
Then there’s the British vampire Laszlo. He’s a lover of mischief and a great soirée, but not as much as he loves seeing Nandor fail miserably in every attempt. And then there’s Nadja, the Bonnie to Laszlo’s Clyde. What We Do in the Shadows – Fox Showcase – Tuesday at 7.30pm Qld, 8.30pm NSW
