Two weapons stolen on March 14

- TARA MIKO tara.miko@thechronicle.com.au

TWO people who stormed a Harlaxton home and stole registered firearms two weeks ago remain on the run from police.

The pair was part of a trio who robbed an O’Brien St resident of two handguns in a bra- zen robbery on March 14.

The group is understood to have knocked on the door of the home about 8.40pm when it was answered by the occupant.

At least two people then forced their way into the home and made demands from the occupant’s firearms, to which he complied.

The trio, including two men and a woman, fled the area.

Detectives have since linked one of the men involved in the Harlaxton robbery with a home invasion in Millmerran.

It will be alleged the man was found with one of the stolen handguns when he stormed the semi-rural property and demanded access to two gun safes.

The man, with at least two other offenders not believed to be connected to the Harlaxton incident, allegedly stole five long-arm firearms all of which were later recovered.

A handgun registered to the Harlaxton resident was also recovered.

The man and two others have been charged in relation to the Millmerran home invasion.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the Harlaxton incident and have appealed for anyone with information to report it to police.
