GREER Parton has been recognised for being an outstanding employee, not only by her work team but also by customers.

Working as a small appliance sales person at Joyce Mayne for the past three years, Ms Parton helps customers find the right appliances.

The Chronicle is running its 2019 Best of Toowoomba series, and asked people to nominate then vote for an outstanding employee who they work with or someone who has shown exceptional customer service.

Ms Parton was nominated by customer Kylie McCarthy who said: “Greer’s customer service is second to none. She is helpful, bright and bubbly and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.”

Ms Parton said she felt humbled one of her customers would take the time to nominate her, and then for others to vote for her.

“It was so lovely reading the initial nomination, it came as a surprise,” she said.

“I love my job and deal with customers day in and day out.

“I’m such a people person so I enjoy interacting and helping our customers.”

Joyce Mayne owner Wayne Peters said Ms Parton was an exceptional employee.

“There are so many products in the small appliance section and she does everything she can to learn about each of them,” he said.

“It is great to have Greer as part of our team, and it’s just fantastic that she has been nominated, voted for and given this title.

“We have a lot of people comment on her work ethic and happy personality.

“I’m really lucky that my whole team here is great and all go above and beyond in their roles.”
