GEMLIFE Highfields over-50s resort’s multimillion-dollar country club took top honours at the prestigious Master Builders Queensland Housing and Construction Awards 2019.

The innovative, premium clubhouse forms a lifestyle hub for its Highfields community, offering everything from a heated indoor swimming pool, floodlit tennis court, covered championship-grade bowling green and ten-pin bowling alley to cinema, library, bar and cafe.

GemLife Highfields country club’s expansive facilities reflect the changing lifestyle needs of over-50s communities, providing everything needed for active and engaged living.

GemLife chief executive officer and director Adrian Puljich said GemLife had reimagined and reinvented over-50s living in recognition of evolving lifestyles.

“We’re redesigning and revolutionising the space and we’re passionately committed to excellence and innovation,” Mr Puljich said.

“Our first-class clubhouses are a central part of this,” he said.

The classically modern building and surrounding precinct mirror the idyllic rural charm of its Highfields setting.

The clubhouse’s elegant design successfully balances generous proportions with a sense of intimacy and warmth, inviting relaxation and engagement.

The country club houses a library, cafe, dining area and bar with cosy, stylishly furnished lounge and seating areas.

It also boasts a wellequipped art and craft studio, music room, hair salon and consultation room, in addition to a games room, spa, sauna and much more.

Spanning the rear of the building is a restful alfresco area, peppered with elegant outdoor dining and lounge seating, in addition to barbecue facilities.

Precinct facilities also include a pickleball court, offleash dog run, community garden, barbecue pavilion and more.

The GemLife Highfields Country Club won the Community Service Facilities category in the Master Builders Awards Housing and Construction Awards 2019 for the Western Downs region.

The country club will automatically progress to the State awards , which are to be held in November this year.
