Preparing staff for flu season
IN THE current COVID-19 environment, the government and health experts have advised the community to get the flu vaccine to help reduce the strain on the healthcare system.
Businesses can do their part to support their employees’ health.
Platinum Health Group business manager Tammy Dickenson said this year it was more important than ever to receive the flu shot.
“Every year, we encourage our patients to roll up their sleeves and protect themselves against the flu, and this year is more important than ever,” Ms Dickson said.
While influenza vaccine will not prevent coronavirus infection it can reduce the severity and spread of influenza, which may make a person more susceptible to other respiratory illnesses like coronavirus.
