AN award-winning luxury property is the latest home in the crosshairs of wealthy families from Melbourne and

Sydney looking to make the move to Toowoomba.

That’s according to Colliers International agent Aimee Morrisby, who said many potential interstate buyers were prepared to pay cash for high-end houses.

Darlana House, a “unique” custombuilt property at Highfields, is already earning interest from several parties. Mrs Morrisby said she was tipping a price tag above $3 million.

It comes just days after an architecturally designed five bedroom in Prince Henry Heights hit the market for $2.8 million.

WEALTHY families from Sydney and Melbourne are reportedly interested in buying a award-winning luxury house north of Toowoomba, with the property expected to go for upwards of $3 million.

The award-winning Darlana House has hit the market, with the agency in charge hosting an inspection party tonight in the hopes of securing an offer over the weekend.

The property was built by Tess Lyons, who drew on the “modern craftsman” style of American homes to design it.

Its kitchen took out best residential kitchen” at the Queensland Master Builders Awards in October, and has been previously listed in the Courier-Mail was one of the state’s best homes.

Colliers International selling agent Aimee Morrisby said already had several interested parties for the home.

“We’re talking about a multimillion dollar property, so in terms of a price guide there really is none,” she said.

“In the last 24 hours, I’ve spoken to two Melbourne and Sydney families who are

making the move to Toowoomba.

“I’ve got two other million-dollar properties listed, and I’m seeing a lot of cash buyers.”

Ms Morrisby said she ex

pected offers upwards of $3 million for Darlana House.
