1. Get jazzy at the Powerhouse

The Powerhouse will be the perfect place to get your groove on tonight from 7.30pm as the Cool Nights Big Band and The Magnificen­ce swing by. There’ll be something for everyone, from traditiona­l jazz and New Orleans originals from The Magnificen­ce, to pop, rock, Latin and everything in between from Cool Nights.

2. Brush up on your French

The popular cafe Bla Bla is back this morning at Kingfisher’s Cafe inside The Springs Garden World on Springs St from 10-11.30am.

The Alliance Française de Toowoomba monthly French conversati­on cafe is the perfect opportunit­y for those wanting to brush up on their French, with all levels welcome to attend. Cost is $7 for member and $10 for nonmembers.

3. Peruse the Glengallan markets

The Glengallan Seasonal Markets are taking place this Sunday, March 7 from 8am-1pm.

Held on the magnificen­t grounds of the historic Glengallan Homestead, the markets will be buzzing this Sunday, especially now as there are some sunflower crops blooming in the area only moments from Glengallan and also at Loch Lomond.

4. Hit up the Body and Soul Expo

The Makers Market are hosting the Body and Soul Expo this Sunday from 9am-2pm.

They have a fantastic line up of vendors, readers, healers and food vans including The Nest Yoga, Herbal Tea and Tonics, The Sandalwood Connection, Aloha Massage and Abundant Organic Life.

5. First birthday fiesta at the Met

Come and join in all the first birthday fun at the Met Hotel as they celebrate one unforgetta­ble year of ups, downs, closures and happy reopenings. The first birthday fiesta kicks off at 6pm tonight with food and drinks specials including margaritas and three delicious types of tacos running all night long. Get in early to see local legend Benny Nelson take to the stage from 6pm, followed by DJ-Drummer duo Kings of Cali from 9pm.

6. Meet the artist

Join local and emerging artist Kerrie Thorne at Rosalie Gallery in Goombungee as she hosts her own ‘Meet the Artist’ day.

Kerrie will be in attendance from 10.30am-3.30pm.

Come along for an opportunit­y to meet the artist and learn more about her emerging artistic practice and work.

Kerrie’s exhibition ‘Finding My Way’ will be on display at the Rosalie Gallery until March 27.

7. Live music at Bar Wunder

Enjoy an afternoon of smooth jazz as Paul Hendon’s Rhythm Plus take the stage from 3-6pm at bar Wunder on Ruthven St.

Throw in some cocktails and Sunday sessions suddenly got a whole lot better.

8. Royal Bull’s Head Inn Open Day

Explore Toowoomba’s oldest Inn and experience life as a traveller in the 1840s at the Bull’s Head Inn this Sunday from 10am-4pm.

Enjoy home made scones and jam on the veranda in the warmer months or bring your own picnic and rug and spend time in the garden.

Entry is $7 for adults, $5 for children and concession card holders or $20 for a family of two adults and two children.

9. Disco Bingo at St Pat’s

Celebrate 50 years of Bingo at St Pat's and join in the fun with Triple M’s Lee Faulkner tonight at Disco Bingo.

It’s bingo like you have never seen it before, with a sing along to all the old favourites it’s bound to be a great night out.

Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased at St Pat’s before the event.

10. Catherine Britt at the Highfields Tavern

The Love and Lies Tour reunites two of Australia’s award-winning and leading female country Artists, Amber Lawrence and Catherine Britt in one amazing show at the Highfields Tavern this Sunday from 1.30pm. Tickets are $35 and available via Oztix.
