INDOOR BOWLS ST MARY’S
Thursday afternoons are a great success. If anyone would like to come along and learn to play Indoor Bowls, come along to Groom Park Hall, 104 Neil Street at 1215pm every Thursday. Results from round 7 of Super League squash were: Norton 2 – 11 v Honda 1 – 4, Indian 3 – 11 v Aprilia 2 – 14, KTM 4 – 13 v Suzuki 1 – 10, BMW 3 – 12 v Tamaha 2 – 13 and Moto Guzzi 4 – 14 v Triump 0 – 6. The leaderboard is: Moto Guzzi 116, Aprilia 105, Indian 98, Norton 98, KTM 97, Triumph 94, BMW 86, Suzuki 78, Honda 73, Yamaha 64 and Ducati 57. In a round of upsets Natalie Newton upset the previously unbeaten Ron Weatherby 4 – 1 and John Whiteside upset the previously unbeaten Kevin Gloss 3 – 2. Other highlights included Alan Cumming 20 v John Grinham 18, and Shayne Avis and Gary Humrich playing 3 long games, 13 – 11, 12 – 10 and 12 – 10. Playing order for round 8 is 3, 2, 1, 5 and 4 with play to commence at 6pm. The BMW team has the bye.
