1. Head to the show

THE Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show continues at the Toowoomba Showground­s today and tomorrow, and there is heaps to see and do. Read more details about the show on pages 4 and 5.

2. Boogie to some jazz trackside

THE DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum is presenting an exciting day of jazz trackside featuring the Jim Miller Big Band.

Head on down and hear some great jazz on DownsSteam’s Drayton platform tomorrow from 10.30am. A $35 ticket includes entry, entertainm­ent and lunch.

3. Enjoy gardens at Pittsworth

PITTSWORTH District Alliance and Gardens of the Downs has organised an open weekend today and tomorrow to showcase what Pittsworth has to offer.

Buses will run both days to outlying industries and agricultur­al areas, main street businesses will open for extended hours and there will be markets featuring local producers. For more details head to www.pittsworth.org.

4. Explore a treasure trove

PITTSWORTH Lions will hold its April market tomorrow from 8am to 1.30pm at the Pioneer Village as part of the Showcasing Pittsworth weekend. Whether you are looking for home cooking, honey, plants, furniture or a variety of crafts, you’ll find them at the markets.

5. Wine pairing and artist talk

JOIN Kyle Zevenberge­n from Zev’s Bistro and Toowoomba artists Sarah Ryan and Tiffany Shafran tomorrow afternoon from 5pm as Zev pairs wine with artworks from the talented duo’s Love Lies Bleeding exhibition at Alexandra Lawson Gallery. Tickets are $40 and include three glasses of compliment­ary wine and an explanatio­n from Zev about the wine and why he has paired it with the artwork.

6. Practise your French at cafe

COME and brush up on your French at the Alliance Française de Toowoomba’s conversati­onal French session at Kingfisher’s Cafe on Spring St today from 10-11.30am.

All are welcome, cost is $7 for members and $10 for non-members.

7. Last chance to see Ancient Rome

THIS weekend will be the last opportunit­y to journey to Ancient Rome at the Cobb and Co Museum before we say goodbye to the

travelling internatio­nal exhibition. Re-live history and discover the life, culture, determinat­ion and genius that carved the great Roman Empire. Highlights of the exhibition include artefacts, models, catapults, frescoes, armour, weapons, busts and much more.

8. Watch tribute to the greats

THE Empire Theatre tomorrow will host a unique tribute to legendary performers with Cloudland the Musical.

The show features the music of The Bee Gees, Buddy Holly, Dragon and more, and includes more than 30 performers.

9. Step back in time

EXPLORE and experience life as a traveller in the 1840s at Drayton’s Royal Bull’s Head Inn open day tomorrow from 10am-2pm. Entry fees are $7 for adults and $5 for children and concession card holders, or you can purchase a family ticket for two adults and two children for $20.

10. Visit markets in Queens Park

HEAD down to Frogs Hollow at Queens Parks tomorrow from 8am1pm and peruse stunning boutique art and craft from across our region.
