WORLD’S MOST EVIL KILLERS

Crime + Investigation 135, 7.30pm

-

Over the years, this gripping UK series has investigated the crimes of some truly revolting characters – and tonight’s outing is no exception. In 1988, former labourer Victor Farrant was convicted of rape, false imprisonment and grievous bodily harm and was sentenced to 12 years behind bars. He ended up serving seven, and was released back into the community in November, 1995. By December, he had attacked sex worker Anne Fidler so savagely in her own home, she had no recollection of it. Six weeks later, he murdered Glenda Hoskins, an accountant and former girlfriend, and hid her body in her attic. In January 1998, Farrant was found guilty of the attempted murder of Fidler and murder of Hoskin, with the presiding judge recommending he never be released. This one-hour special details his spree.
