WOMEN who have disrupted sleep are at a higher risk of dying in the following 6-11 years, according to new Australian-led research.

The University of Adelaide study of 8001 men and women found women who experienced unconscious wakefulness often, and for longer periods of time, had nearly double the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease during an average of between six and 11 years.
