A MOTHER and founder of a small business based in Cunnamulla has been recognised for achieving outstanding results in all aspects of business including creativity, innovation and resilience.

Leanne Harper, creator of Leanne’s Letters, was named a finalist in the Australian Mums entrepreneur awards.

Her business specialises in handmade kitchenwares and her product line includes a self-published cookbook range called Recipes from the Bush, recipe fridge magnets, handpainted resin kitchenwares, resin cheeseboards, clocks and other accessories.

The mother of four said her business was passionate about helping women add fun and colour into their kitchen while preparing easy, delicious and budget-friendly meals and snacks for their families.

She had also been nominated for the Handmade Business Award.

The awards were presented by the AusMumpreneur Network which recognised and rewarded Australian mums in their business excellence.

Mrs Harper has worked alongside Remote Employment Services Queensland delivering workshops from Cunnamulla to Longreach focusing on creating cheeseboards and clocks.

She said her love of cooking and craft inspired her business as she wanted to make the time women spent in the kitchen more enjoyable.

“Being able to earn an income doing something I really love, while being a stay at home mum running my business was a dream come true,” she said.

The AusMumpreneur Award 2021 winners will be announced in October.
