SURVIVOR STINT ENDS FOR GATTON WOOD CHOPPER

- AMY PRICE

GERALD YOULES has revealed the blunder he made on Australian Survivor to get himself eliminated in another blindside vote on the reality TV series.

The champion Queensland wood chopper, 26, was booted off the show during Sunday night’s episode after his alliance member Flick used her immunity idol for Emmett, meaning votes cast against him did not count.

Gerald was stunned when he was then eliminated in a blindside vote.

He added: “Of course I would have loved to have stayed longer in the game and to think my decision to play the idol for Emmett in that moment is what sealed my own fate was a tough pill to swallow.”

Youles believed he was targeted because he was seen as a social threat in the game.

The long-time Survivor fan lost 19kg during his month filming the show in Outback Queensland and competed in the woodchopping in Nambour the following two days after he was eliminated from the reality TV show.

He was due to take part in the Brisbane Ekka before it was cancelled.
