INSTANT Scratch-It buyers are winning big in the 4350 postcode.

That’s according to new data from The Lott, which has named the area taking in Toowoomba and Westbrook one of the country’s hot spots for scratchie wins.

Two top prize winners took home more than $102,000 in prizes in the past financial year, placing the 4350 postcode in the top 10 in Australia.

In the top postcode of 4680, which takes in Gladstone and Tannum Sands, five winners took home a collective $385,000.

The Lott spokeswoman Ally Ramsamy said groups of wins emerged from time to time.

“Last year was an especially tough year, so the winning news was particularly welcomed by our winners,” she said.

“A Laidley woman who won a $200,000 top prize couldn’t wait to use her spare time to go back and study something she’s passionate about,” Ms Ramsamy said.

Ms Ramsamy said scratchies were often a popular gift purchase, including Father’s Day on September 5.
