Do you get your five a day?
Most definitely. I have vegetables with every meal – I have them in larger quantities than proteins or carbs.
Have you ever dieted?
No, but I am always conscious of what I put into my body. I cook every day when I’m not eating out. I shop for fresh produce and cook them daily and I know what goes in is not only fresh but also tasty.
Sleep or sex?
Good question, I’m undecided.
What is your absolute blowout meal?
When I go out to a fancy restaurant and have the degustation and wine pairing or when I order takeaway. I tend to go overboard.
Have you had any operations or broken bones?
No operations. Touch wood. But I have a broken right pinky finger from playing softball in high school.
What’s been your biggest health mistake?
When I was a teenager, I would not touch fatty meats. I would always have lean cuts of meat. How wrong I was as I learnt that so many flavours come from great marbled meats. Clearly, I’ve changed.
What regular vitamins do you take?
None. I don’t take any. I eat a balanced diet, but I would consider taking some vitamins to help any deficiencies.
What health advice would you have given yourself 10 years ago?
That carbohydrates or fats do not make you fat. Eat everything in moderation and enjoy life. Also, to remember that your output needs to exceed your input if you want to lose weight. Simple as that. Eat less and exercise more.
Would you have plastic surgery? Botox?
I would have plastic surgery if I had to, if I were in an accident and needed reconstruction of the face or body. Botox? I’m impartial. Haven’t had it as I don’t think I need it, but wouldn’t say no.
What is your guilty pleasure in life?
Wine. I love wine. I find it hard to not have wine with a good meal. I simply enjoy it way too much.
