Cops eye brawl in Chinchilla

A MASSIVE violent street brawl broke out in Chinchilla on the Western Downs, leaving two people beaten and a home smashed up.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoma­n said eight people were involved in a street disturbanc­e where bricks and glass bottles were hurled through the air.

The spokeswoma­n said during the violent incident two people were assaulted and a home on Mackie and Barber streets had multiple windows smashed in.

Chinchilla police were called to the home after receiving reports of a loud street disturbanc­e late Sunday night.

The spokeswoma­n said the group of people scattered from the scene at 9.51pm.

“Investigat­ions... are continuing,” she said.
