Quarry Gardens

-

THE Bridge Street Quarry Gardens drive seems to have gone quiet … was there a study being undertaken to explore future options for the thinking of a quarry gardens concept?

This project could be given a new direction with a few points to consider. The Olympic Games introduced the world to some new adventure sports which may be the future for our young communities, like rock climbing, skateboarding.

With this in mind and our plan to attract opportunities for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, and the close proximity to the already established mountain bike trails in the escarpment, this may be a more realistic plan and appealing to more generations.

How about a combined project with garden options of low maintenance and cost consideration but with a wow factor adventure sports parkland, even a mini water attraction (no, not a water park), with a cultural garden to embrace another aspect of our community. And yes, parking and a cafe for visitors.

It’s time to plant another seed.

It is a project that may well appeal to a broader and younger community to Toowoomba and if dollars are to be invested in the future of the area – may seem to appeal.
