ALP IS AT HAND: ’TIS THE SKI-SON TO BE JOLLY

- MADDY MORWOOD

PARTYGOERS can get up to snow good this week as Brisbane’s Prince Consort Hotel transforms into the ski holiday we’re all so desperately craving.

With 50 tonnes of real snow falling, it’s time to dust off that retro suit you bought 18 months ago in good faith you’d see a Canadian ski field and put it to use as the venue transforms into a winter wonderland.

Featuring a full week of entertainment, The Prince Consort Hotel’s first annual Snow Week promises live bands and DJs, ‘schnappy hour’, drag queen bingo, 80s UV Ski Party, and Canada Day – and Après all week long.

Prince Consort general manager

Jason Hirt said that although the event ran all week, they were making the most of the further easing of restrictions on Friday. “Hopefully restrictions easing means on Saturday we can throw a bit of a party and celebrate – let’s go out with a bang.”
