Bombers fans have had to endure 17 years of hurt waiting for their team to win a finals match. There’s even a Twitter page dedicated to the cause, reminding everyone just how long it’s been since Essendon last won in 2004. But on Sunday, more than 6000 days since their previous finals win, they can end the drought against a Bulldogs team that is on the slide. The Dogs spent most of the year comfortably inside the top four, but slipped to fifth by the barest of margins. They have the class, but do the Dogs have the confidence?
