TOOWOOMBA TIPS: TWILIGHT LOOKS SET TO BOOM

-

The Chronicle’s Sean Teuma provides his best bets for the Clifford Park meeting on Saturday evening.

BEST BET

Race 6, No. 3: TWILIGHT BOOM

The Michael Nolan-trained gelding has been knocking on the door this prep, bumping into Saturday winner Legal Esprit twice, before doing it tough last start.

Not a lot of pace in the race which could allow Michael Hellyer to take a more forward position. Looks hard to beat. NEXT BET

Race 3, No. 4: SHE’S A TIGRESS

Chris Anderson brings the progressive mare over the range, and he’s found a nice race for her to make it two in a row.

With a lovely draw and a bit of speed drawn outside her, SHE’S A TIGRESS should be able to get a good run in transit and finish off too strongly. VALUE BET

Race 7, No. 5: GENTLE PRINCE

The staying maidens can be hit and miss affairs.

GENTLE PRINCE finished off well from a midfield position at Doomben last start to run second, and should appreciate the rise to 1875m.

There are some handy locals that met here over the mile a fortnight ago, but siding with the visitor to get the job done.
