TEENS CHARGED

-

TOOWOOMBA police have charged two teenagers for the alleged robbery of a 35-year-old woman in Ruthven Street on August 23.

The woman had been out walking her two dogs before allegedly being approached by three teenage boys at 5.20pm at the off-leash dog park. The teens allegedly struck the woman with sticks they’d picked up in the park and pushed her to the ground. Police claim the teens then stole her mobile phone, credit cards and car keys before fleeing in her 2010 Audi A1 hatchback. The boys, aged 14 and 17, have both been charged with robbery in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and are due to appear in the Toowoomba Children’s Court.
