AN EVENT FOR EVERY MAN, WOMAN AND THEIR DOGS
EVERY man, woman and their dog will have an opportunity to unleash at the inaugural Tails and Trails event.
Queensland’s Sled Dog Racing Club vice-president Daniel Rose and his dog Knowa hope other runners and their canine buddies will join in on the outdoor fun.
“With Covid-19, we’ve seen a rise in obesity rates in dogs, as well as separation and behavioural issues, due to a lack of socialisation and mental stimulation,” Mr Rose said.
“Rather than competition, Tails and Trails has a fun run type spin on it and is a way for dog owners to keep active with their family pets, while also raising awareness about our club and sport.”
Participants are welcome to walk, jog or run with a 5km or 10km option available.
The event will kick off at 7am on September 25, at Pechey State Forest.
Online registrations are also available for people participating interstate.
Entry starts from $35.
The first 50 people to register and complete the race will receive a participation medal. To register visit https://bit.ly/38ooNaQ.
