Drunk cyclist blew 0.155

A GATTON man caught drunk cycling, blew 0.155 when stopped by police, a court has been told.

Travis Kelvin Mozer, 21, appeared in Gatton Magistrates Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to attempting to put in motion any horse, animal or vehicle (other than a motor vehicle) under the influence.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Narelle Lowe told the court that about 11pm on August 3 this year police were called after a man was seen riding a bicycle through Gatton and appeared under the influence.

The court was told Mozer identified himself and told police he had consumed a large quantity of alcohol that evening. Sgt Lowe said after a positive roadside test he was arrested and taken back to Gatton Police Station where he blew 0.155.

Mozer was fined $500, and no conviction was recorded.
