WHEAT LOADING. A RECORD DELIVERY.

A record wheat delivery was made at Nobby on Thursday, when 4019 bags were received by the State Wheat Board officials.

The previous highest was 3803 bags. Thursday’s delivery was made up of 3431 bags of Q1, 366 bags of Q2, and 222 bags of seed wheat.

The large quantity of wheat graded Q1 speaks well for the quality of the grain this season.

BIG CHEESE CONTRACT

Informatio­n was received in Toowoomba today that the Queensland Cheesemake­rs’ Associatio­n has just received through the Minister for Customs an order to supply 900,000 lbs of cheese to the Indian Government.

AC Galbraith, Secretary of the Queensland Cheesemake­rs’ Associatio­n, stated that the first delivery of 100,000 lbs will be ready within four weeks.

Deliveries are to be made monthly in 100,000 lb lots.

Naturally securing this order for cheese will mean much to the cheese industry in Queensland.
