AN IMAGE highlighti­ng family experience­s during the Covid-19 pandemic has emerged as a major winner in one of Australia’s longestrun­ning photograph­ic competitio­ns.

Queensland photograph­er Netal Lucas landed $15,000 for his snap of an afternoon tea during lockdown, which took home the open category prize in the Heritage Bank Photograph­ic Awards.

South Australian snapper Jakob Kennedy won the themed category, which also netted him $15,000.

Westbrook photograph­er Margaret Kebble won the Alwyn Kucks Memorial Award for an image that was inspired by her pet parrot playing with a Rubik’s cube.

This award was open to entrants residing within a 50km radius of Toowoomba.

Heritage Bank CEO Mr Peter Lock said the awards attracted more than 2300 entries from across Australia.
