- RHYLEA MILLAR

HE’S travelled across the globe to perform in front of fans, and now one talented artist is returning to the Garden City.

Australian singer-songwriter Ziggy Alberts is bringing his Searching For Freedom regional tour to Toowoomba this month.

“I’ve played at the Spotted Cow a couple of times, and now I get to come back and play at the wonderful Empire Theatre, which I’m already familiar with because of our music video (Chocolate) and Bar Wunder,” he said.

“I love playing regional shows, and I think I owe it to my grassroots and all those cities, towns and communities that have shown me so much support.

“The opportunity to come back to Toowoomba is absolutely wonderful, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

The ARIA award-winning musician said fans could expect to see some of his original hits, as well as tunes from the latest album.

Performing at the Empire Theatre last night, the musician will also be at Bar Wunder on September 14, at 6pm.

Tickets are $53 and can be purchased at tickets.oztix.com.au.
