PRESSURE ON LIONS AFTER BULLDOGS LOSS

THE acid has been put on the Brisbane Lions’ defensive efforts – particularly through the midfield – following their heartbreaking one-point semifinal loss to the Bulldogs.

The Lions fell out of the post-season in straight sets at the Gabba on Saturday night.

In reviewing the game on Fox Footy, dual premiership Kangaroo David King called out Brisbane’s on-ball brigade for “living a lie” by not being more accountable.

“In finals footy you can’t let the opposition play anywhere near their best … if you want to give them some time, you’ll pay,” King said.
