BOWIE SET FOR BIG LEAGUE
THE Diehards are set to gain the winner of Dalby’s cutest baby for 2021 as a new recruit when he’s older, according to the child’s adoring mum.
Eboni Carmichael and James Lawton’s 12-week-old son Bowie Lawton was given the crown of Dalby’s cutest, as voted by our readers.
Born on June 15, 2021, Bowie won out against dozens of other nominees for the town’s cutest baby.
His mum Ms Carmichael said she was surprised her son claimed the win, but was ecstatic for the votes he received. She said her pregnancy with Bowie was “smooth”, and gave birth to her adorable son at the Dalby Hospital with assistance from her “excellent” midwife Hayley Curran.
“He’s been pretty cruisy since then, he fits in well with the family, and has taken the number three child in his stride,” Ms Carmichael said.
Ms Carmichael said Bowie was born with a cleft lip, and would be receiving surgery in the next few weeks.
As for his future aspirations, she said he would most likely follow in his dad and her granddad's footsteps.
“Him playing for the Dalby Diehards is my goal, just like his dad and pop.”
