SHAUN ‘Silk’ Burgoyne is heading back to where it all began, having accepted a position at Alberton ahead of the 2022 season.

The homecoming is a major coup for Port Adelaide ahead of cross-town rivals Adelaide and multiple Victorian clubs, plus league headquarters, who were all chasing his services.

It’s understood the four-time premiership player reached a decision after spending the past few weeks assessing several options. Burgoyne’s role, which is believed to be four days per week, will range across various sections of the club.
