A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl has died following a horror offroad buggy accident at a rural property in Victoria’s Gippsland region.

Five girls, two boys and a man in his 30s were in the buggy when it rolled in a paddock in Rosedale, about 185km east of Melbourne, just after 4pm on Saturday.

A six-year-old girl was flown to hospital but died from her injuries.

A four-year-old girl was also flown to hospital with a serious head injury.

The other five children were assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital with non-life-threatenin­g injuries.

The driver was also taken to hospital.

Major Collision Investigat­ion Unit detectives were at the scene on Sunday to continue the investigat­ion.

Three other people died in road incidents in Victoria during the weekend.
