VACCINATION NUMBERS ON THE RISE

- MEG GANNON

TOOWOOMBA’S vaccine efforts have been bolstered this week with the addition of a major new vaccine clinic.

The Clifford Garden vaccine hub hit its third day of operation on Wednesday, reaching a milestone of 1000 people receiving either their first or second jab.

A Darling Downs Health spokesman said staff were pleased with the results thus far.

“More than 1020 doses were provided in the first two days of operation,” they said.

“The clinic is currently accommodating booked appointments.

“Wait times are minimal with appointments running on time.”

From Monday, September 20 the clinic will be open seven-daysa-week.

The best way to get a vaccination as soon as possible at the new clinic at Clifford Gardens is to pre-register your interest here: www.vaccinebookings.health.qld.g ov.au.

As of Monday, September 13, national data suggests more than 39 per cent of the Toowoomba population aged over 15 are fully vaccinated.
