The severe Delta Covid-19 outbreak and comparatively better vaccine supply has meant Australia’s most populous state is also its most widely vaccinated. It is the first state or territory to hit the 80 per cent single-dose milestone. The 70 per cent double-dose target could be reached as early as October 13, and the 80 per cent mark a fortnight after that.
