EDITOR’S NOTE

AN ARTICLE published in yesterday’s Chronicle incorrectly accused the Toowoomba Regional Council of taking a 2.5 per cent payrise but refusing to do the same for their workers.

We have since found out that this accusation was incorrect. We apologise for this mistake and that our usual standards were not adhered to on this occasion.

We apologise to Mayor Paul Antonio, Councillor Rebecca Vonhoff and the rest of the council.
