Wonderland event needs helping hand

TOOWOOMBA’S largest festive lights display Christmas Wonderland is calling on residents, businesses and community groups to put their hands up to volunteer at this year’s event.

The Lions Club of Toowoomba West is anticipating large crowds at the event after the 2020 event was cancelled due to Covid restrictions.

Project chairman Marshall Cox said community-minded people and groups should register early as volunteer spaces would fill quickly.

“We need the assistance of 44 volunteers each night to ensure that our visitors of all ages have a fantastic Christmas experience,” Mr Cox said.

Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland will run from 7pm to 10pm each night from December 4-24.

Volunteers must be 15 or older.
