COLLAPSE OF SEATS IN TENT Eleven persons injured

Eleven person were injured and others had remarkable escapes when some rows of seats in George Sorlie’s variety show collapsed last night. Some of the injured were admitted into hospital.

Those injured were:- Bessie Rosenthal (30), married, of Southbrook, severe bruising and abrasions to the right leg and ankle. Edna Beutel (23) married, of Hodgson Vale, probable fracture of the right leg and abrasions to the left leg. Catherine Raftery (46), married, of Meringanda­n, sever bruising and probable fracture of the right ankle. Vera Graham (30), of James-street, severe bruising, and abrasions to the left knee and ankle. Stella Evans (14), of Taylor-street, bruises, and abrasions to the left leg. Mavis Dukes (18), of Whichello, bruises to the back and left leg. Jane Stower (73), of Southbrook, severe bruising to the right leg.

Irene Reece (14), of Taylor-street, fracture of the right ankle. Rose Taylor (43), married, of Ruthven-street, injury to the left leg and shock. Rebecca Richardson (52), married, of Umbiram, bruises and abrasions to the right leg.
