TIME TO GET JABBED, SAYS FORMER TITANS STAR

- JASON GIBBS

HE may not be instantly recognisable under a mask, but a familiar face will greet people attending Toowoomba vaccination clinics over the coming weeks.

Former Gold Coast Titans half Ashley Taylor is working with

Queensland Health to encourage people to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

“I think it’s important to reach out to the community, especially the indigenous community,” Mr Taylor said.

“I really want to put the word out about protecting not only yourself, but your family and community as well.”

Mr Taylor will be at work across the Darling Downs and South Burnett.

“It’s the off-season for me, so it’s great to be given this role to reach out to the community,” he said.

“It’s great to be able to go out to communities to talk about health in general and to encourage people to get the jab.

“I think it will only take one person out of a family to convince the whole family to get the jab.

“If I can reach out to answer any questions or help anyone in any way to get the jab it will be worth it for the community and the state as well.”
