MAN FLED SCENE OF CITY CRASH
POLICE are on the hunt for a man who fled the scene of a two-car crash in Newtown.
Initial reports indicate the male driver was behind the wheel of a red Ford Ranger when he turned into Gordon Avenue about 4.30pm on Thursday.
Witnesses at the scene said the man mounted the kerb near the intersection with Teesdale Avenue before crashing head on with a silver Ford Focus.
He then crashed into a fence and left the scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the Ford Focus driver, a 17-year-old girl. was transported to the Toowoomba Hospital as a precaution.
