WHILE millions of Queenslanders wait with baited breath as to whether they will be plunged into another lockdown, chief health officer Jeanette Young has reiterated the message “go and get vaccinated”.

Toowoomba region is just shy of 50 per cent of its population over the age of 15 being fully protected and with the addition of the COVID-19 vaccine Moderna being made publicly available, it’s never been easier to get the jab. More than 20 pharmacies across Toowoomba are stocking the vaccine.

Moderna has been approved for use in by the Therapeutic Goods Administration for people aged 12 years and older.

But it is also only available to people younger than 60. Pharmacies with Moderna
