ROME: Teen activist Greta Thunberg has ruthlessly derided British PM Boris Johnson’s “inactive” record on fighting climate change ahead of the COP26 conference.
Speaking at the Youth4Climate meeting, the 18-year-old Swede said: “Our leaders’ lack of action is a betrayal of all present and future generations.”
Quoting from Mr Johnson, she said: “This is not about bunny hugging, or build back better, blah, blah, blah, green economy, blah, blah, blah … this is all we hear from our so-called leaders. Words that sound great but have led to no action.”
