Border closure

THERE has been a lot of debate recently on if or when the Premier will decide to reopen the Queensland border and allow businesses to get back to normal operations.

I am a member of the LNP, but I think for the time being we must let the Premier do the job she was elected to do, and that is to keep Queenslanders safe from Covid-19.

This will buy us time for everyone to get fully vaccinated against this insidious virus.

The Federal Government wants to reopen our international borders when we reach 80 per cent fully vaccinated, but I think the Premier has a higher rate in mind, maybe 90 per cent.
