ONCE considered a low-skill industry, farm work and fruit picking in tropical Far North Queensland is now deemed a working holiday that is transforming lives and careers.

With abundant fertile land and water supplies, agriculture is an important sector in the Far North, contributing $925 million to the economy in 2018-19.
