INCENTIVISE FINDS FORM

Toowoomba galloper continues on quest towards the Melbourne Cup

- SEAN TEUMA RACING

INCENTIVISE hushed any speculation that he wasn’t up to Melbourne’s standards when claiming the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes at his first run in Victoria.

Now the former Toowoomba galloper is ready to make a statement that he is the deserving favourite for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups when he lines up in the $1m Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.

In what is shaping up as a race for the ages, Incentivise will take on Chris Waller’s champion mare Verryy Elleegant, a winner of nine Group 1 races and last year’s Turnbull Stakes/Caulfield Cup victor.

We catch up with former trainer and current part-owner Steve Tregea on the hopes of the star gelding this weekend.

Tregea’s Windemere Stud retains an ownership stake in the highly promising gelding and he was full of praise for his first-up Melbourne assignment.
