Man flown to hospital

A TARA man suffered serious head injuries after he was allegedly hit with a metal bar.

Police were called to a Kofoeds Rd property in Tara about 6.15pm on Saturday.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said it’s alleged a 22-year-old man threatened a 55-year-old Tara man with a shovel before he was struck with a metal bar and was left with head injuries, including a broken jaw.

He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
