Teen drink driver busted
A TOOWOOMBA teenager who got behind the wheel just hours after a night on the town was stopped by police swerving across the road, a court was told.
Imogene Delilah FiskWalsh pleaded guilty to high-range drink driving in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The Toowoomba Magistrate’s Court was told police stopped a car driving along James Street about 4.20am on September 11 after they saw it swerving.
The 19-year-old returned a reading of 0.166, and told police she had been drinking for 12 hours since 2pm the day prior.
Magistrate Howard Osborne convicted Fisk-Walsh, and disqualified her from driving for six months.
She was also fined $900 by the magistrate.
