Aussie fans happier than ever as Billie plans visit

- KATHY McCABE

BILLIE Eilish will bring her Happier Than Ever world tour to Australia in September next year, playing her biggest ever shows on her fourth visit Down Under.

The American pop superstar has so far announced four arena concerts but the frenzy of fan demand when pre-sale tickets are launched on Monday is expected to trigger other show dates.

At this stage, she will kick off the Australian leg of the tour at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on September 13, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, September 17, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on September 22 and Perth’s RAC Arena on September 29.

Eilish has commanded world attention in recent weeks, starring as the belle of the Met Ball and shaking hands with the royal family at the premiere of the latest James Bond film No Time To Die as its theme-song singer.

Eilish has continued to own the global charts since releasing her made-in-lockdown second album Happier Than Ever in July, with the record debuting at No.1 everywhere.

She was also just announced as the youngest-ever headliner for the mammoth Glastonbury Festival in 2022.

For Australian fans, the Telstra pre-sale launches on Monday with general tickets available via Ticketek on October 15.
