Worst streets for break-ins

THERE was a significan­t rise in break-ins in Warwick this year, with nearly 90 residents’ homes broken into, many of which were located in the CBD.

The end of the year is more common for break-ins and with that peak period approachin­g, find out which streets are most often targeted.

Based on data from the Queensland Police Service, 88 homes in Warwick were broken into between October 5, 2020 and October 4, 2021.

That was nearly a one-third increase compared to the 2019-2020 period.

Monday was the most likely day for crimes to occur, with 19 Rose City homes being broken into. Break-ins and robberies were also four times more likely to occur at midnight with 7am and 6pm the next most common time slots.
