Wellcamp facility

A MEMORANDUM of Understanding has been signed between the Federal and State governments to establish a 1000 bed quarantine facility on 30 hectares in Brisbane within close proximity to the airport and major hospitals, expected to be operational in mid 2022.

In addition to this, Anastasia Palaszczuk has just announced that Queensland will be introducing home quarantine as early as next week.

Why then is the quarantine facility at Wellcamp still going ahead when we are well on our way to a 90% vaccination rate and the two above mentioned quarantine procedures will soon be operational?

Why is Annastacia Palaszczuk wasting our money on Wellcamp when this money could have gone to our hospitals which have been sadly neglected despite a world pandemic on our doorstep.

It was never above “saving lives”, it was about “saving face” knowing her health system would never have coped had Covid got out of control, thereby exposing the real fraudulence in her government.

Obviously, she intends to play blame politics until the very end, as this government has managed to bluff their way through crisis after crisis, while disguising the true dire financial state Queensland has been in – even before Covid.
