Defending champ chases Legend status

Classique Legend will attempt to defend his title in The Everest at Randwick, despite 10 months since his last run. Half the field from last year’s race return, with Nature Strip, Gytrash, Eduardo, Libertini and Trekking joining Classique Legend in the elite 12-horse field. TJ Smith winner Nature Strip is making his third attempt in The Everest and will set the speed with Eduardo. Trainer Chris Waller also saddles up Home Affairs, the sole threeyear-old. Other runners are Masked Crusader, Wild Ruler, The Inferno, Embracer and Lost And Running.
