■ It’s time for the Nationals and the Liberals to stand alone at the next election. They are totally opposed to one another about the need to address the climate issue, so it’s time for them to face the people. Wouldn’t it be great to do away with the preference system so the preference whisperers couldn’t rig the system and so deny an honest and accurate election result. Makes sense to me.

■ Jim B Cent Heights, what you have described is weather and not climate. And your 55 years is certainly not a long time frame

■Refugees in our own Country’ (TC15/10). Come on Chronicle try being an actual refugee in our country. Or a refugee stuck on an island near our country.

■ The elites head to Glasgow for the 26th COP talkfest and just like the previous 25 nothing they plan will alter the climate. In fact sadly any taxes or like on industry, agriculture will simply hurt the poorest people on the planet. Not to mention higher energy prices trying to live off unreliable renewables. What a laugh. AC, Tmba
