GALLERY SET TO OPEN AT NEW CBD LOCATION

- JARRARD POTTER

THE Toowoomba Gallery has settled into its new permanent space near the city CBD and will open to the public from tomorrow.

After outgrowing their temporary lease within two months, co-creative director Niki Hall said it was exciting to find a home within the redeveloped Rowes complex.

“A lot of people are buying artwork sight unseen online but to have the ability to come to the gallery and see something in real life before making the purchase is something else entirely,” Ms Hall said.

“To have a place in Toowoomba where people can come and find beautiful pieces for their home is amazing.”

To celebrate their relocation, the gallery will be hosting an exhibition featuring large-scale oil paintings by Brookfield artist Joanna Davies from Friday.

Ms Hall said the exhibition, called Unbridled, would feature more than 30 pieces which would be for sale from the gallery.

“We really are excited to launch our first exhibition,” she said.

Unbridled by Joanna Davies begins on Friday, October 22.
